Disinformation in Georgia

A newly published paper in the journal Europe-Asia Studies, co-authored with Ralph Clem and Ani Tepnadze, uses public opinion data to assess attitudes about conspiracy theories in the Republic of Georgia. We find that exposure to media with a pro-Russian orientation is associated with beliefs in various conspiracy theories, as well as ambiguity about them. Both of these outcomes serve Russian interests in the region.
